I was tired of cutting and stapling tar paper every winter. I bought this wrap 2 years ago and haven’t gone back. My colonies come through winter stronger and burn less honey, leaving more for spring. It sets up in 20 seconds and fits my Langstroth hives perfectly.

- Michael D.

Watch out for imitations! Our beehive wrap has helped thousands of beekeepers - but success attracts knockoffs. Cheap wraps use thin insulation and weak fasteners that leave gaps and let cold in. Ours has 4-layer insulation, a waterproof outer layer, and a secure fit - so your bees get the protection they need.

The wrap adds insulation around the hive and slows heat loss through the walls. It also blocks cold wind, so the cluster does not have to work as hard to stay warm. Bees burn less honey through winter, which means more food left for them (preventing starvation) and more honey left for spring harvest.

We ship FAST! Every order includes Complimentary Tracked Shipping. All packages leave our facility within 24-48 hours on business days, getting your order to your home as quickly as possible.

We stand by our product! That is why every purchase is backed by our 30-day money-back guarantee policy. Simply contact our support team for a hassle-free return.

Winter Protection Without Foam Boards, Tar Paper or Mess

Winter Protection Without Foam Boards, Tar Paper or Mess

Insulating your hives shouldn't mean cutting foam, stapling tar paper, taping seams, and storing bulky pieces for the rest of the year. This wrap gives your hive strong winter protection with a much easier setup — and you can use it again next season.

Wrap it around the hive, secure the Velcro and buckles, and you're done. If the weather changes, you can take it off and put it back on in seconds.

The black outer layer is made from waterproof polyester fiber. It helps block rain and snow while the black surface absorbs heat from the sun. The inside has PE silver-coated cloth that helps reflect heat back toward the hive.

Two large buckles and two wide Velcro strips hold the wrap tight around the hive. No staples, tape, or loose foam panels. It stays secure through wind, rain, snow, and winter storms.

It’s designed to cover the most common Langstroth wintering setups. Both sizes fit 8-frame and 10-frame hives.

Standard: 76.8" × 18.1"

Extended: 76.8" × 24.8"

The two wide Velcro strips make the wrap easy to adjust. Both sizes fit standard 8-frame and 10-frame Langstroth hives.

Your Bees Will Burn Less Honey

In winter, bees cluster together and burn stored honey to make heat. The colder it gets, the harder they work and the more honey they use.

Our 4-layer wrap slows heat loss and blocks cold wind that can disturb the cluster. This helps your girls stay warmer, work less, and burn less honey — preventing running out of food (starvation), and leaving more honey for spring harvest.

Open a Strong Hive This Spring

The goal is simple. Not just a colony that barely survived. A strong colony with honey left in spring. Give your girls more protection through winter and one less thing for you to worry about every time the temperature drops. Replacing a dead-out for $150+ in spring is not worth it.

    Frequently Asked Questions

It’s designed to cover the most common Langstroth wintering setups. Both sizes fit 8-frame and 10-frame hives.

    Standard: 76.8" × 18.1"

    Extended: 76.8" × 24.8"

It does not have a formal R-value like building insulation. R-values are used for rigid materials in houses. BeeCrafter Wrap works differently — by blocking wind, reducing heat loss, and stabilizing hive conditions, which is what matters most for bees in winter.

Yes. It was designed to block cold wind and heat loss, which are the biggest causes of winter hive stress. It’s especially helpful in windy, snowy, and fluctuating winter condition.

Yes! It's made to replace foam boards, tar paper, and temporary winter setups with one clean wrap that stays in place through storms and snow. Homemade insulation takes time to set up, shifts in storms, leaves gaps, and can do more harm than good if it traps moisture.

Our beehive wrap does not seal the hive airtight. Your entrances and normal winter ventilation stay open, so excess moisture can still escape.

Yes. The outer layer is made from waterproof polyester fiber to help protect the hive from rain, snow, and wet winter weather.

No worries at all. You’re covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee, so you can try it risk-free.
